Project Manager – Alabama & Georgia

We’re looking for a hard-working, self-starter to serve as our Project Manager who is interested in physical security and ever-advancing technology. You will work on meaningful and mission-critical projects to protect our customer’s employees, property, and assets. You will also be responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with state laws and regulations.

The types of projects you will manage will include some or all aspects of electronic security access systems, including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and other related electronic security equipment.

This role will report to the Vice President of Operations. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders in the organization, including technicians, trainees, and members of the human resources and operations teams.

  • Schedule and assign technicians to specific projects
  • Oversee projects to ensure that all installations are completed to the client’s needs
  • Work with technicians and answer questions that come up with various projects they are working on
  • Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership for ongoing or escalated issues
  • Train new or tenured helpers, installers, or technicians on basic installation/technician responsibilities
  • Complete proper paperwork and submit to appropriate departments daily
  • Communicate with clients, co-workers, direct reports, and CRV Surveillance Monitoring Station
  • Handle basic installation/technician responsibilities including, but not limited to:
  • Install and wire specified alarm system devices
  • Pull cable and hang devices
  • Test and verify that all systems and devices function properly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.)
  • Use multi-meter for particular volts and ohm readings and circuit analysis
  • Use various hand and power tools such as drills and screwdrivers for installations
  • Strip and conceal wires without leaving bare openings
  • Run wire as neat and inconspicuous as possible
  • Keep company vehicle clean and in good operation (i.e. handle oil changes, fueling, washing of vehicle, etc.)
  • Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the specific alarm system works
  • Essential functions to be performed with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices
  • Must be personable and have a professional appearance
  • Must be able to travel, as needed
  • Must be familiar with various types of receivers
  • Strong customer service focus/skills are a must
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Must be capable of handling challenging and stressful situations without decreasing productivity

  • Must have mathematical skills including but not limited to the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume along with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Must have reasoning skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED required
  • Technical or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Three (3) – Five (5) years previous experience as a lead technician, trainer, or related position preferred
  • Experience with management of technicians, lead technician position, or technician manager position preferred
  • Experience with Genetec and Honeywell software preferred
  • Licenses / Certifications: Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry
  • NICET Certification strongly preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and MVR in good standing
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
